Riding the New Wave:

April Greiman Zine

Adobe Photoshop and InDesign

This zine is a tribute to April Greiman, a visionary who revolutionized graphic design by embracing early digital technology and blending it with bold, postmodern aesthetics. Her iconic work captures the essence of her groundbreaking approach, where vibrant colors, fragmented typography, and layered imagery converge in a dynamic, almost chaotic harmony. Greiman's fearless experimentation with digital tools and her innovative use of pixelation challenged traditional design norms. Through this zine, I aim to honor Greiman's pioneering spirit by mirroring her aesthetic, using saturated colors, abstract compositions, and digital techniques. This project serves as both an homage and an invitation to future designers to push the boundaries of creativity, just as Greiman did.

Collateral Damage Book Cover

Adobe Photoshop

The cover for Collateral Damage subtly weaves together symbolic elements that echo the story's emotional and psychological depths. The fractured glass motif represents the fragility of trust and the ripple effect of unforeseen consequences, while the muted, war-torn color palette evokes a sense of loss and tension. The rope and bird illustrate the tension between constraint and liberation. The design avoids revealing key plot points, instead focusing on creating an atmosphere of suspense and introspection, drawing readers into the story’s themes.
